ECFC Weekly Honors for November 9, 2009

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Shane Brozowski, Castleteon
(Fr., QB - Rensselaer, NY)
Brozowski threw for a season-high 306 yards in Saturday's loss to
Norwich in the inaugural Vermont Maple Sap Bucket Championship.
Brozowski completed 72% of his passes (23-for-32) and had three
touchdowns, wrapping up a freshman campaign in which he led the
league in all major statistical categories.
OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Julius Williams, Husson University
(Sr., RB - Boston, MA)
Julius "Juice" Williams scored two touchdowns and amassed 250
yards on 16 carries. Williams' two touchdowns were Husson's first
two of the day in Husson's win over Becker. Saturday, Williams
became the only player in school history to break the 1,000 yard
mark in more than one season and over the fall has become the
schools all-time leading rusher with over 3,500 yards. Williams
amassed 1080 on 157 carries averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Mike Oehl, Maritime College
(Sr., LB - Nesconset, N.Y./Smithtown West)
Oehl led all players with 18 tackles in his last collegiate game
ever, Maritime's 16-13 heartbreaking loss to Gallaudet on Friday.
The co-captain had 17 solo tackles and two assisted, and two of his
tackles were for combined losses of five yards.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Justin Wilson, Gallaudet
(Sr, K/P - Phoenix, Ariz )
Wilson averaged 35.6 yards per punt for Gallaudet University as
the Bison won a tough game against SUNY Maritime, 16-13, on the
road last Friday. In a game where possession was key Wilson was
able to help the Bison defense as he made five punts for 178 yards
with a long of 43 yards and one punt inside the 20. Wilson also
booted three kickoffs for 172 yards (average of 57.3 yards).
