Husson Selected as PreSeason Favorite for ECFC Opening Season

Husson University was selected as the preseason favorite of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference in a vote conducted by the league’s coaches. The Eagles were 7-3 during the 2008 campaign and earned a berth to the ECAC Northeast Bowl.

Nowich, who competed last season in the Empire 8, placed second followed with N.Y. Maritime and Mount Ida tied for third place. Becker and Gallaudet placed fourth and fifth respectively followed by Castleton and Anna Maria, both of whom are in thier first season of collegiate competition.

Two teams will compete at the end of the regular season in the ECFC Championship Game. This is the first season of competition for the ECFC.
