Maritine Receives One More Vote In National AFCA Coaches’ Poll; Appears Just Outside ECAC D-III Poll For Third Straight Week
The Maritime football team is receiving three votes in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches’ Poll released on Monday. This is the second straight week that the Privateers are appearing in the poll. The squad sits just 14 spots outside of the Top 25 teams in the nation.
Also released on Monday was the third Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Lambert Meadowlands Poll. Maritime is also receiving votes in that poll for the third consecutive week.
This comes after the Privateers’ exciting 37-35 last-minute victory over Mount Ida on the road on Saturday. With the win, Maritime improved to a perfect 8-0 on the season and remained in first place in the ECFC with a 5-0 mark.
